ABOUT US
The West Texas Home Builders Association (WTHBA), a trade Association affiliated with the National Association of Home Builders and the Texas Association of Builders, has represented the industry since 1948.
Lubbock was a new city just emerging from World War II. People were moving to Lubbock with ambition and money. On May 13, 1948 a nucleus of builders, suppliers, and subcontractors joined together to charter the “Home Builders Association of Lubbock”. What they did was start a relationship of competitors working together for a common goal: to protect and improve the building industry.
In 1981 the association changed its name to the West Texas Home Builders Association, Inc. and now covers a 24 county region including Lubbock. The WTHBA represents approximately 650 member companies. Its Board of Directors is one of vast experience and commitment.
As a member of the West Texas Home Builders Association you benefit from membership in the Texas Association of Builders (TAB) and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).
