The West Texas Home Builders Association is proud to support West Texas Hero Home, Inc., a nonprofit based out of Lubbock, Texas, dedicated to serving our regions first responders and disabled veterans.
In 2010, the West Texas Home Builders Association was moved by a presentation by Operation Finally Home to form a local nonprofit dedicated to taking care of our local military and first responders. Partnering with members of WTHBA and local donors, we provide mortgage-free homes to disabled heroes and their families.
WTHH is actively working on our 12th Hero Home for our 13th Recipient, Corporal Michael Anderson.
Following the tragic events of 9-11 Michael Anderson knew his heart was geared for service to his country. He signed up for the Unites States Marine Corp in 2010 and served as a Tactical Switching Operator for 11 months and 15 days of foreign service in Afghanistan and Kuwait and 5 months at sea near Dubia. Corporal Anderson was honorably discharged from the Marines following injuries sustained during service and is the recipient of numerous military awards and honors such as the National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal. Michael is married to Jasmine Anderson and they are the proud parents of Brodie.
If you or someone you know would be an excellent candidate for our mission, please apply for our program through Operation Finally Home.
